Knotty Western Red Cedar 5' Obelisk Tower with 3 horizontal rails, spire (spike) finial and one vertical bar per side (bar is optional to install) These are beautiful, robust garden structures ideal as a plant support structures or architectural landscape feature. Great for climbers such as clematis or roses. Solid wood construction with traditional dowel joinery. All our products are hand made using locally sourced Red Cedar lumber. Red cedar is naturally rot resistant and is considered one of the best wood for exterior applications.
Features:
Made from knotty Western Red Cedar so they will have natural imperfections which may include knots, wanes, non structural cracks and splits, resin pockets, staining or machine marks. Imperfections do not affect the structural integrety or longevity of these products. These are ideal for intensive gardening use and as with all cedar will age to a pewter gray after several years. Obelisks can be painted but some natural flaws may show through especially around knots which have a very high tannin content which can show through especially when finishing with lighter stains and paints such as white or light gray.
